Wildlife
The woods surrounding my studio and home are teeming with wildlife. Deer, beaver, owls, fox, and others present daily inspiration for my art, as well as a reminder of the fragility of the natural world. It is these intersections between art and nature that inform my creative thinking and my creative goals. – Diana Arcadipone

Wildlife, Bear Series
My interests in wildlife often extend beyond Maine, including a trip to the Butte Inlet in British Columbia for a week-long kayaking expedition. A goal of the trip was to see grizzly bears in the wild. Witnessing these magnificent creatures coming down from the mountains to feed on salmon in the rivers served as a catalyst to create a series of monotype prints and gouache paintings.
