Wildlife
The woods surrounding my studio and home are teeming with wildlife. Deer, beaver, owls, fox, and others present daily inspiration for my art, as well as a reminder of the fragility of the natural world. It is these intersections between art and nature that inform my creative thinking and my creative goals.

Wildlife, Bear Series
My interests in wildlife often extend beyond Maine, including a trip to the Butte Inlet in British Columbia for a week-long kayaking expedition. A goal of the trip was to see grizzly bears in the wild. Witnessing these magnificent creatures coming down from the mountains to feed on salmon in the rivers served as a catalyst to create a series of monotype prints and gouache paintings.
